SNMMI's Center for Molecular Imaging Innovation and Translation is an organizational component within the SNMMI that is dedicated to all aspects of molecular imaging in the detection and management of disease.
SNMMI's Center for Molecular Imaging Innovation and Translation is an organizational component within the SNMMI that is dedicated to all aspects of molecular imaging in the detection and management of disease. The primary focal areas of the Center are educational programs, professional and intersociety networking, and serving as a resource for development and implementation of SNMMI policy in this specialized area. The center is currently facilitating initiatives to bring molecular imaging discoveries from the lab to the patient and to advance "personalized" medicine.
Molecular imaging and molecularly targeted therapy will be an integral part of the medical standard of care by providing specific information that will be used for diagnosis and to guide therapeutic decisions that improve health and well-being.
To engage the molecular imaging community and leverage the SNMMI infrastructure to advance the adoption of emerging molecular imaging technologies and probes in preclinical and clinical applications.

Welcome to the Center for Molecular Imaging, Innovation, and Translation (CMIIT) website! The primary mission of our center is to promote the translation of molecular imaging and therapy agents from the bench to the bedside. We aim to do this across the spectrum of molecular imaging modalities through various educational opportunities. In this regard, we have sponsored and organized numerous Categorical and Continuing Education Sessions at the SNMMI Annual and Mid-Winter Meetings. Our co-sponsoring of the Poster Mixer with the Radiopharmaceutical Sciences Council at the Annual Meeting is always a great way to learn about the latest scientific discoveries and interact with colleagues. We also acknowledge the next generation of scientists with our Young Investigators Award as well as recognize those individuals who have contributed behind the scenes with our Laboratory Professionals Award.
I invite you to browse the website and consider joining CMIIT if you are not already a member. Please provide us with feedback on content we can add and share your ideas with us on initiatives you find important. I look forward to working with you to advance the goals and mission of CMIIT.
