5th International Adrenal Cancer Symposium

The initial International Adrenal Cancer Symposium was held in Ann Arbor in 2003. This meeting galvanized and accelerated international collaborations for adrenal cancer research and therapeutic studies. Since then there have been three additional conferences in Ann Arbor, Paris and Wuerzburg providing updates and insights into the exciting research and progress made since the initial conference. In 2015 we will welcome the international research community, interested physicians of all disciplines and patients and their families back to Ann Arbor. Adrenal cancer is a very rare disease, but international collaborative efforts have significantly improved our understanding of adrenal cancer pathophysiology and diagnosis, with new therapies on the horizon. The local planning committee together with international experts has developed an exciting program that includes presentations and panel discussions of recent research and clinical advances. Presenters include specialists from multiple medical disciplines who are involved in the care of adrenal cancer patients, including endocrinologists, surgeons, radiation and medical oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, nuclear medicine physicians and basic scientists. The conference will highlight the latest collaborative international efforts for large-scale molecular and genomic analysis of adrenal cancer and how these findings might influence patient care. Sessions will also be dedicated to providing the latest adrenal cancer diagnostic approaches and therapies. Finally, a panel of international experts will discuss select adrenal cancer patient cases that address recurring questions and highlight common management issues regarding this disease.
