CT Basics for PET/CT in Clinical Research

June 25, 2015 EDT
Event Details:

Date: June 25; 3:00 pm Eastern
Speaker: Paul Galette

The standardization of computed tomography (CT) in conjunction with positron emission tomography (PET) in research trials is often overlooked.  While much is discussed and written on providing the appropriate methods for accurate and reproducible PET acquisitions, many study protocols do not include any specific guidelines for the CT that is also being performed. This webinar discusses the basic technical aspects of computed tomography when used in conjunction with PET imaging.  There will also be an overview of CT applications for attenuation, methods to prevent artifacts and working in low-dose protocols.
