About the Presenter:
Dr. Jonathan McConathy is the director of the Division of Molecular Imaging & Therapeutics in the Department of Radiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He is dual board certified in Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic Radiology. His research interest is on the development and application of molecular imaging agents for oncologic imaging and neuroimaging. He has a long-standing interest in radiolabeled amino acid transport for cancer imaging and PET tracer for neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer’s disease. He is also actively involved in multi-modality imaging with PET/CT and PET/MRI for research and clinical applications.
