PET CoE President's Message

Hossein Jadvar, MD, PhD, MPH, MBA, FACNM

PET CoE President

The PET Center of Excellence held its Board of Directors and Retreat meeting in Los Angeles on Saturday, November 2, 2013, a day after the unfortunate shooting incident at the LAX International Airport. Until the evening before the meeting, it was unclear if we would be able to hold the meeting given the many disruptions with the flights. Despite this challenge, we were eventually able to meet with half of the board members onsite in a hotel close to LAX and the other half calling in to the meeting. We shortened the meeting that Saturday so that board members would have plenty of time to get to their return flights and also rearranged the agenda to discuss the more urgent issues first. I am glad to report that despite all that, our meeting was quite productive and we had time to discuss and make decisions on all the original agenda items.  Read more.
