SNMMI Celebrates National Volunteer Week

April 20, 2023

SNMMI is thrilled to celebrate its members during National Volunteer Week!

A special thank you to all our members who volunteer their time, talent, and expertise to meet the critical needs of the nuclear medicine and molecular imaging community. This is especially evident in the work of the SNMMI and SNMMI-TS leadership, SNMMI-TS National Council of Representatives, SNMMI House of Delegates, SNMMI-TS Executive Board, and SNMMI Board of Directors! In addition, the extraordinary efforts of the SNMMI-TS Committees and Task Forces, Councils, Centers of Excellence and Clinical Trials Network ensure that SNMMI continues to meet the needs of our members and the profession. These governing bodies of the Society work together to support our members, advance the profession, and promote the highest standards for patient care around the world.

The strong grassroots network that SNMMI chapters provide is essential to building and fostering the nuclear medicine and molecular imaging community. The incredible education and research presented during our Annual Meeting and throughout The Journal of Nuclear Medicine (JNM) and Journal of Nuclear Medicine Technology (JNMT) is cutting-edge and showcased around the world.

National Volunteer Week is a chance to reflect on the impact of volunteer service. Did you know the majority of SNMMI’s programs are run by dedicated member volunteers? The growth and success of SNMMI is a community effort. Each year, hundreds of SNMMI volunteers contribute their time, passion, and expertise to further our mission, improve patient care, and advance the field of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging around the world. All of you are an integral part of developing and implementing the future of personalized medicine.

THANK YOU to all our volunteers—we couldn’t do this without you!
