Event Details:

You are invited to attend the first open Town Hall meeting for the Medical Imaging and Data Resource Center (MIDRC)

Friday March 12, 2021 at 12:00 pm ET | 11:00 am CT

This important, hour-long session will give attendees an opportunity to ask any questions they may have about making data contributions from their academic medical center, community hospital, or private practice.

MIDRC is funded by the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB), is jointly developed by representatives of the American College of Radiology® (ACR), the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), and the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), is managed by the University of Chicago, and supports researchers from 23 institutions across the country.

MIDRC currently focuses on COVID-19 imaging data, but in the future will expand to become a comprehensive resource for all Institutes and Centers of the NIH, with focused medical imaging data commons of chronic disease (e.g., diabetes, liver disease), coronary artery disease, COPD and emphysema, and other infectious pandemics. Additionally, the sequestering of some MIDRC data for validation and testing will provide a valuable resource for data science challenges, as well as a path to long-term sustainability through industry support for translation to, and approval of, clinical use which will impact public health worldwide (learn more at https://www.midrc.org/ or go to www.midrc.org/donate to visit the live data portal, currently accepting contributions!)

Registration is free.
