The Technologist Advocacy Group (TAG Team), which falls under the jurisdiction of the SNMMI-TS Advocacy Committee, requires one dedicated member per state who is ready to be involved at the local level.
TAG Team representatives should be prepared to share information on any changes in state/jurisdiction laws concerning the practice of nuclear medicine, Joint Commission survey outcomes, Medicare (CMS) surveys, and all other news or policy changes that might affect SNMMI’s technologists.
TAG Team representatives must be able to routinely provide updated information on a variety of issues, including:
TAG Team representatives must be prepared to answer questions submitted by SNMMI-TS members from their state/jurisdiction through the TAG Question Submission website.
TAG Team representatives must access the LegiScan program to look for proposed legislation that may affect the Nuclear Medicine practice in their state/jurisdiction.
TAG Team representatives will work with proposed legislation in their state/jurisdiction using the Model Practice Act for Nuclear Medicine and the 2020 Nuclear Medicine Technologist Scope of Practice and Performance Standards.
