The PDEF offers a variety of scholarships, programs and offerings that assist nuclear medicine technologists in advancing the field. Through professional development activities, the PDEF gives NMTs the training they need to advance in their career. The following programs are available through the PDEF.
Mickey Williams Minority Student Scholarships ($5,000)
This scholarship, established 2005, offers scholarship assistance for a minority student entering or enrolled in a nuclear medicine technology program. The scholarship honors the memory of Mickey Williams, who was President of the SNMMI-TS in 1991.
Professional Development Scholarship ($5,000)
This scholarship assists nuclear medicine technologists in their pursuit of a Master's or Doctoral degree.
