To provide a platform where members can discuss challenges related to COVID-19, SNMMI has opened an online community on SNMMI Connect, for ALL members. This private, members-only forum will create a space where you can ask questions, share current challenges, and seek advice from the combined expertise of the entire SNMMI network.
“With the COVID-19 pandemic creating new issues and needs, members need a place to communicate and discuss some of the daunting issues we are facing each day,” said SNMMI President Vasken Dilsizian, MD. The society has been regularly polling members to find out what challenges you are facing and how SNMMI can support you.
“Please use this platform to share stories and ask for guidance or support as we all adjust to the day-to-day changes of the medical landscape,” said SNMMI-TS President Mark Crosthwaite, CNMT, FSNMMI-TS.
This is just one part of SNMMI’s ongoing effort to support you through this crisis. The society has created a COVID-19 Resource Center where we are posting a curated selection of resources related to COVID and nuclear medicine. Resources posted there include statements on the Mo-99 supply chain, adequate supply of personal protective equipment (PPE), and concerns regarding ventilation/perfusion (V/Q) lung scans, in direct response to member feedback.
We invite all members to use this network to remain connected and engaged with their SNMMI member community. Click here to access the community.
