Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School are surveying practicing nuclear medicine physicians and radiologists to determine when and why PET/CTs are performed for inpatients.
The purpose of the study is to evaluate patterns and reasons for use of PET/CT in inpatients nationally in the United States and internationally. There is considerable variability in practice patterns and minimal data available on inpatient PET/CT utilization. Information about trends has the potential benefit of establishing a standard of care and optimizing resource allocation. The principal investigator for this study is Hyewon Hyun, MD.
If you are a practicing nuclear medicine physician or radiologist, please help by taking less than 5 minutes to complete the survey. It is anonymous and IRB approved.
