SNMMI and ACNM are pleased to announce they will once again be working with the Chinese Society of Nuclear Medicine (CSNM) to select the top abstracts to be included in the Sino-American Conference, taking place January 19-22, 2017 in Phoenix, AZ (in conjunction with the Mid-Winter Meeting).

Selection Process

During the 2017 SNMMI Mid-Winter and ACNM Annual Meeting, the top scientific and clinical abstracts submitted will be selected to make oral and poster presentations.

After review, the top 12 abstract presenters will be asked to present their abstract in an oral session at the ACNM Annual Meeting. History of the Sino-American Conference

In 2007, delegates of the Chinese Society of Nuclear Medicine (CSNM) met with the leadership of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) during the SNMMI Annual Meeting in Washington, DC. At that time both organizations agreed to work towards the creation and implementation of a Sino-American Conference on Nuclear Medicine. A follow-up meeting was scheduled for October 2009 and the final plans were put into place for the 1st Sino-American Conference to be held in 2011.

The first conference was hosted by the CSNM and held February 24-28, 2011 in Beijing China. Twelve United States based residents, along with 5 SNMMI Leaders were represented. The 2nd Sino-American Conference took place during SNMMI's 2013 Mid-Winter Meeting, January 23-27, 2013 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The conference is held every other year in the opposite country.

*By indicating that you would like to participate in this program when submitting your abstract, you are agreeing that if selected as described above , you would be able to travel, as part of the Sino-American Exchange Program, in late 2017 or early 2018 (China hospital schedule permitting)

**The exchange program is sponsored by the SNMMI and CSNM. Final dates of the exchange program will be determined in coordination between the sponsor and participant.
