Advocacy State Issues

Grassroots advocacy separates itself from direct lobbying through the act of asking the general public to contact legislators and government officials concerning important issues. Companies, associations, and citizens are increasingly partaking in grassroots lobbying as an attempt to influence a change in legislation. Grassroots advocacy often focuses on the issues concerning a specific community and can consist of meetings legislators and their staff, letter writing campaigns, and phone calls to federal and local offices.

The Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging has a strong belief in the effectiveness of grassroots advocacy. Below are links to tools SNMMI offers in advocating for the field of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging, specifically technologist related issues.
