This biannual award honors the research accomplishments of a young investigator who is pursuing a career in nuclear medicine.
Dr. Tetalman was a highly respected and productive clinician, researcher, and member of the SNMMI before his tragic death as a young man
Applicants must be members of the SNMMI

Criteria:

Nominees must exemplify outstanding achievement in basic science applied to nuclear medicine.
Applicants must be 36 years of age or younger as the year they apply and no more than 7 years from having obtained certification in nuclear medicine or nuclear radiology, or in completing a PhD program.

Current curriculum vitae
A maximum of four (4) letters of recommendation, two (2) of which must come from the applicant’s institution. At least one of the recommendation letters must be from a SNMMI member.
A maximum of three (3) manuscripts and/or abstracts of grant applications submitted or funded describing the applicant/nominee’s research efforts.
A letter (2 pages maximum) from the candidate stating why he or she is qualified for this award.
