Taking place just prior to the Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall, you’ll get an overview of the meeting, learn about the historic city of Philadelphia and how to get the most out of your visit, hear from this year’s host country about the latest research and innovations happening in China.

Sunday Plenary Session and Henry N. Wagner, Jr., MD Lectureship - Sunday, June 24 

In addition to the Henry N. Wagner, Jr., MD Lectureship, the opening plenary session features welcome remarks from the SNMMI and SNMMI-TS Presidents, an overview of the 2018 Annual Meeting, and a special address from the 2018 Highlight Country chair. 

Quantitative Nuclear Imaging: Is SUV the Best We Can Do?
Richard E. Carson, PhD

Dr. Carson's presentation will cover tracer kinetic analysis methods used for quantitative brain imaging applications, with a focus on synaptic density imaging, why SUV works as well as it does for FDG oncology studies, and imaging challenges faced in non-brain dynamic studies.

SNMMI-TS Award Recognition and Plenary Session - Sunday, June 24

In addition to the plenary address, the SNMMI-TS Awards Recognition will celebrate the outstanding accomplishments over the past year, including the announcement of the SNMMI-TS President’s Award, SNMMI-TS Outstanding Technologist, SNMMI-TS Outstanding Educator and new SNMMI-TS Fellows. The technologist section will also install Norman Bolus, MSPH, CNMT, FSNMMI-TS as the 2018-2019 SNMMI-TS President.
